LinkedIn recently announced new look for Company Pages. With a now-familiar "Cover Photo" spanning the top of the profile page and a company news stream, this layout update is definitely an improvement. Bigger news: Company Pages now work with the LinkedIn smartphone and tablet apps. Check out the emfluence LinkedIn page to see the updates in action (and feel free to follow our updates!):

Highlight of the changes to LinkedIn Company Pages:

  1. New banner photo at the top of the profile page. Add a photo of your office, team or products to show off more than just your logo.
  2. Recent updates are easy to find and post more like status updates on profiles. Now that you're easier to follow, try to post at least once a week to your company's LinkedIn page.
  3. Add products & services you offer. Be sure you add what your company has to offer, including a description and the key benefits of your product or service. Bonus: once you've added your products & services, solicit recommendations from your happy customers.
  4. Find Company Pages from LinkedIn on mobile devices. Download the LinkedIn app on your phone or tablet to check out what your profile looks like via mobile.

I hope up next they'll allow 3rd party posts to Company Pages! (Right now, you can post from TweetDeck, Hootsuite or the emfluence Marketing Platform to personal LinkedIn profiles, but not company pages.)
