Web Development
Partner with emfluence. Achieve measurable results.
Then raise the bar.
Online marketing dollars continue to grow, but where should those dollars be spent: search marketing, banner ads, email campaigns, a relaunch of your website?
Choosing the right partner for web project success is vital. We know you’ll consider emfluence as the right choice when you see that everything we do for you, and every decision we make with you, is based on three principles: track, measure, and improve. Your web project success story starts with our analysis of the metrics from your active or historical initiatives. Many of the questions you’ll hear in our pre-launch interviews involve ways to improve on those results. These principals encompass our approach to development. To serve you best, we employ an end-to-end strategic methodology designed to keep projects on track and on budget, and to deliver the measurable results your management team expects.
Ready, Set…Wait! Before your web project begins, an emfluence Project Lead will work with you and your team to complete the Stakeholder Survey that ensures the success of your web project by putting all team members on the same page. They will cover or review some of the following:

Please review our Stakeholder Survey prior to engaging emfluence as your partner. It’s a key component to all our web project success stories. We invite and encourage you to relay any comments or suggestions you have about improving our process to achieve great results while working with your team on your next project.
Your Web Development Team @emfluence
What skills combine to deliver web project success stories? Your emfluence team of experienced professionals work together to guide your project from beginning to end. In addition to Project Management, the nature of the work includes some or all of the following:

Art Direction
If your web development project is externally facing (meanings it's for your customers or business partners), art direction experts will work in concert with stakeholders to keep your web development results in line with your brand standards. Art directors unify the vision of the stakeholders and marry that vision to the competitive analysis results delivered by the Search experts.
Information Design/Visual Design
Think of infographics Artistic Data. Throughout your site, there will be many opportunities to turn written words into compelling visual stories. While not technically just a part of a web development project (you can use inforgraphics throughout your marketing effort) infographics are frequently overlooked.
Art Production
The creative team works with you and with the web development engineers to start producing the actual look and feel of the project goals. Deliverables are in the form of Photoshop files which are approved by all the stakeholders before they transition to the next team of experts.
HTML/CSS - Markup Production
Completed artwork moves from the creative team assigned to your project into the hands of the HTML wizards. These are the experts who have to take apart the artwork, pixel by pixel, and turn it into hypertext markup language of one type or another. Markup Production involves the conversion of designs to high quality, cross-browser compatible, valid XHTML / CSS markup. Sometimes this is referred to as PSD to HTML.
Engineering
Web development always involves the engineers. Engineers put all the pieces together, and create the code base upon which your website is based. Engineers in web development user the project through all the stages of production including pre-alpha, alpha, beta, release candidate and general availability.
Usability Testers & Quality Assurance
No web development project should arrive online without 10-15% of the entire budget going towards testing. After all, no one wants their customers to be finding and reporting issues with a new web development project. A web development QA Checklist is divided into three categories: Critical, Important and General Usability. Critical bugs include things like code errors, broken or poorly performing forms, bad links, or cross-browser incompatibility. Important functionality includes broken page templates, bad page security and blank or missing pages. General Usability issues include poor or missing SEO data, text legibility, inconsistent navigation etc.
